I prefer that we meet on Tuesday, since  Monday and Wednesday will be
taken up with Ed's Heuristic Programming Project Conference.  Another
possibility would be Wednesday evening; if you can make it, Merle and
I would like to have you come to dinner.

I will be  giving a tutorial on  my research on Monday,  Jan. 5, from
3:30  to 4:30,  in Tressider  Union, Room  282.   This deals  with my
thesis, but  it is  specially designed for  the audience's  interests
(based on earlier questionaires of what they want to hear about). You
are of course welcome to attend.

On Thursday, Jan.   8,  from 9:45  to 10:45,  I will  present a  more
advanced discussion of some of the thornier problems I've encountered
in this project.

During the conferecne,  I may be unreachable by phone, but I will log
into SUMEX  and  SU-AI  several times,  so  a SNDMSG  will  reach  me
quickly.
